Wilcox has out done herself.

I've been sailing all my life and am also an avid mystery reader. Finally, someone has combined these two interests! Wilcox's love of sailing and the sea comes through loud and clear in her novels. Sins of Betrayal is a great read and even better than her first. I highly recommend this series for sailing enthusiasts and anyone who likes a GOOD mystery.

Sailing Satisfaction for Land or Sea!

A great read for sailors on land or sea! Enjoyed this second in the sailing series featuring the engaging Kellie Montgomery, sailing instructor based in a marina in Seattle's Puget Sound. While this mystery takes Kelly more inland, her navigational skills prove just as successful. Kellie's on and off relationship with Detective Kingston takes an unusual twist and Wilcox has a sympathic view of the issue of ageism. Like her first book, Sins of Silence, she also continues to deal with the themes of family and adoption. I look forward to the next Kellie Montgomery adventure!

Readers will sail along with this excellent amateur sleuth

Ever since her beloved spouse died three years ago, widow Kellie Montgomery has lived on her sailing ship "Second Wind" docked at Seattle's Larstad Marina. Kellie earns a living by running the Smooth Sailing school. However, the late winter weather has virtually put a halt to Kellie's business. Kellie's sister Mary asks her to investigate the strange disappearance of her elderly neighbor Pearl Danielson who vanished without a trace two week s ago. Kellie remains reluctant to begin sleuthing after being shot on her last investigation. She also promised her friend, homicide detective Allen Kingston, that she would never conduct inquires best left to the police. However, Pearl is a friend and former student, so Kellie starts looking for her. Kellie visits the senior citizen's condo where she runs into the first of several threats to do her bodily harm if she persists in her search for Pearl. SINS OF BETRAYAL, the second Montgomery amateur sleuth sailing novel, is an entertaining missing person's tale and more. The story line is intelligent and filled with action. The insight into the life of Kellie's adopted daughter augments the plot with warmth. As with SINS OF SILENCE, the characters turn this mystery into an enjoyable sailing cozy.>P>Harriet Klausner
