My steamer is a different brand than featured in the book but it doesn’t matter because her directions are generic. I mostly steam rice and quinoa and I wanted some new ideas, as my kitchen is small and limited. This book has 80 basic and some fancier recipes, including main dishes, vegetables and soups, desserts and extras. There are sections on the pantry, equipment, spices, and sources. The photographs are excellent. The recipes I plan to start with include cider brined pork chops, Brussels sprouts with bacon, Maple glazed carrots, copper penny salad, acorn squash, silky cauliflower, and toasted cornmeal cornbread. This book is simple but effective. I am glad I bought it.
