Simply Fortune Telling with Playing Cards

For a self starter/learning about the Tarot world, these are an excellent starting point. I sent these to a family friend who happens to be incarcerated. He said they are a very good learning tool and a great way to keep his mind off his situation. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to discover the the world of Tarot reading.

GOOD BOOK BUT WANTED MORE INFORMATION

This is a good book if you want to learn about cartomancy. It gives you all the essentials but I found it somewhat lacking. Even the author admits that if you want more information to buy his other books. Why? Why can't a person write a comprehensive book to begin with? The answer I think is obvious. The author and publishers want you to buy more books so that they can make more money. I know that he is not the only person to do this, but I dislike buying more books that basically covers the same information with the addition of a little more information added. It seems like a waste of money. I have always had problems with tarot cards because, although they are good in revealing emotional/psychological and future events (with limitations) about the questioner, tarot cards really don't provide any substantial and meaningful information about time frames. This is my main concern. When will something happen in respect to year, month, day, date, and time. Using playing cards for fortune telling are supposed to provide more specific time frame information than tarot cards, but this book really does not focus on this topic which I consider to be extremely important. I mean really what do you consider more important: knowing if you are feeling sad today or is knowing when something very important in your life will happen? Wouldn't you want to know the date and time? This is very important to me more than how I am feeling today. The author only spends a page talking about associating cards with time. That is it! This is terrible. I really wanted a lot more information about this important topic. I was disappointing. However, I must keep in mind that this is an introductory book. True this book is lacking but many other books on the topic are also lacking. I guess it's true that you can't please everyone all the time. Hehehehe
