I bought this book as a gift for my daughter who has been a vegetarian for several years. I flipped through the book before wrapping it and was so impressed, that I went out & got myself a copy. The pictures are phenominal - and there are photos of every recipe and also some of the ingredients. I started to put sticky notes on the recipes I want to try right away & realized that's half the book. I've made at least two dozen recipes and almost every one has been delicious. The one exception was "Austrian Gnocchi". They were little balls of stuffing made with bread crumb and mushrooms, served with marinara sauce - not really like gnocchi at all and rather blah. I have substituted some ingredients with "light" versions to reduce the calories/fat. The book does rely heavily on dairy - so it's not vegan-friendly at all, but I would highly recommend it for lacto-ovo vegetarians!
Simply Delicious Vegetarian

Simply Delicious Vegetarian is an attractive cookbook. On every page there is a color picture of the food named in the recipe. Most of the pictures are full page. The two recipes I tried so far were both quite tasty. I would make them again. However, pay attention to the portions served. I needed to cut down the amounts in the recipe quite a bit to feed only a small family. The recipes are very varied, using pasta, potatoes, rice, beans, and lentils.
