Signals and Systems

A very good COMPREHENSIVE book. This book covers all the frequency transforms in DEPTH. I see a lot of people have made negative comments about this book, which I find very very surprising. You need background in two subjects for learning this book : Calculus and electric circuits. If you are not sound in this, there is no point in complaining. The material in this book is indispensable, if you are into control systems, signal processing , DSP etc etc.Lot of examples and so many end of chapter problems. This book can be used with Schaums outline signals and sytems.

The only point against this book is that it is priced a good 40% higher than all other texts (in India). That aside, we all know how masterfully Haykin can handle concepts relating to Communication Systems and Signal Processing. Replete with lucid explanations and carefully selected examples, this is one book that comes close to dethroning Alan Oppenheim's text on the same subject.

this is a complete introduction to signals and systems. it just might need you some extra time to absorb all the contents

I think, this book is a very good one. It gives wonderful and precise introduction to the subject. Many examples with solutions provided make it very useful for self study. To my opinion, this book is wonderful. I may recommend to buy it.
