This book is really funny (a review by an 8 yr old)

(This review is being written by my 8 year old son with my typing help) I think it is funny because the house is flying and Pumpkin Pete is afraid of store bought pumpkin pie. This is my favorite Sidekick book so far. I have read all of them. It is funny because Pumpkin Pete was mad because he couldn't watch cable TV while the house was flying. I think the end is cool because you get to know who The Strike is. I think you should buy this book.
Lures Kids Away Ffrom Television
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
"Speedy" (everyone has a nickname) is our narrator on this interesting, fantastical ride he calls his life. The style of writing is very similar to the Rugrats, a show on which both writers have worked. It has a very Nickelodeon-esque pace with flying donuts and evil characters in the form of teenage babysitters who try to dominate the smaller kids. It is one way to lure the TV generation away from the tube and into a book with similar characters whose lives are as magical as the imagination of an 8-year-old child. There is a moral to the story, and sometimes the best way to "get it" is with humor and a push of the imagination.
