Everything old is new again

This book is a great document of the tumultuous '60s that reminds me so much of the energy surrounding the Obama campaign and presidency. I don't necessarily think they are great photographs themselves, but Fenton does have a talent for capturing the essence of an era and a movement. Maybe that's what is so special about them. Open it just about anywhere and you'll get caught up in it. I agree with the earlier comment about Joan Baez. I think Janis Joplin might be more appropriate however.

Social Change Realized

Put it on your coffee table and watch guests capture in seconds the life of the social change movement of the '60s. Read, with them, the encapsulations. Or, scan quickly and absorb later. Either way, you'll understand, even if you weren't there, the challenges that helped bring about the great advancements in this country, including, especially, of course, Barack Obama, and all he is doing with his Administration. The book arrived quickly and his to collect. It's honor and pride and an important way to document the history of this country even if you don't agree with every action each of the individuals involved took. You'll cry and laugh and want to put on some Joan Baez.
