Overall, this is an interesting guide for the "caring consumer". I've boycotted certain brand names based on their animal testing procedures, but there are a lot of companies that I've missed. This book distinguishes between companies that are required by law to test on animals versus companies that aren't required to but test on animals anyways. My main criticism would be that PETA only talks about end-products that aren't tested on animals. This book doesn't mention the individual ingredients that might be tested on animals. I would have liked more information on this aspect of product development.
