Sheep by Alan Butler

Alan Butler's story about the history of sheep in the world was truly remarkable. At first I was fascinated with the cover/jacket depicting a pasture with sheep grazing contentedly while a satellite flies overhead. While I've been a shepherd for 30 years, I've never realized how important sheep have been in world history. It's obvious that Alan Butler is a professional writer and may know little about raising sheep, but he writes an interesting tale backed by much historical research. An easy read and enjoyable book.
