Nice story of reunited love

From the back cover: Ryan O'Connor wanted his privacy. He wanted to lick his wounds and learn to forget. What he didn't want was a boy, a dob, his grandmother, his ex-wife, Joanna, and another woman invading his island sanctuary. But that's exactly what he got. Joanna Stanton didn't want to be on Ryan's island. But when you're looking for a place to hide, there isn't always a lot of choice. And she didn't expect her fourteen-year-old son to track her down when he should have been safely out of the way in Canada. Nor did she want him to get too close to Ryan, who just might notice a certain resemblance... And my review: Though this book was part of a series (second in a trilogy), it stood perfectly well on it's own. I didn't read the first book, yet I wasn't at all lost or confused reading this one. I love stories of estranged spouses reconciling, and this one was quiet well done. Not as good as Karen Young's Christmas novella "It Takes A Miracle" (in the "Merry Christmas, Baby! collection), but it was still good. There was a good balance of mystery, suspense and romance in this book, but it wasn't one that stuck with you long after you turned the last page, making it a four star instead of a fiver. Enjoyable, but not a keeper!

Shadows in the Mist(O'Connor Trilogy, Book2)

"Shadows in the Mist" really touch my heart. When Ryan found out he was Daniel's father and he knew how it felt to have a child. It was his job that got in to way of his marriage with Joanna. It also showed that he was still in love with Joanna. I loved the the ending when Joanna and Ryan got back together and Daniel was happy to find out Ryan was his father. I was also surprised that Ryan and Daniel could see the future. I have never read a book like that it that was what made it different from the others. It's a compelling story that any one would loved to read. I know I loved reading it.
