Shadows in the Mist (O'Connor Trilogy, Book 2)

And my review: Though this book was part of a series (second in a trilogy), it stood perfectly well on it's own. I didn't read the first book, yet I wasn't at all lost or confused reading this one. I love stories of estranged spouses reconciling, and this one was quiet well done. Not as good as Karen Young's Christmas novella "It Takes A Miracle" (in the "Merry Christmas, Baby! collection), but it was still good. There was a good balance of mystery, suspense and romance in this book, but it wasn't one that stuck with you long after you turned the last page, making it a four star instead of a fiver. Enjoyable, but not a keeper!

"Shadows in the Mist" really touch my heart. When Ryan found out he was Daniel's father and he knew how it felt to have a child. It was his job that got in to way of his marriage with Joanna. It also showed that he was still in love with Joanna. I loved the the ending when Joanna and Ryan got back together and Daniel was happy to find out Ryan was his father. I was also surprised that Ryan and Daniel could see the future. I have never read a book like that it that was what made it different from the others. It's a compelling story that any one would loved to read. I know I loved reading it.
