When her abusive husband is killed, Dawn is faced with a new type of man, one who knows how to bring woman to soaring heights of sensuous pleasure. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Favorite scene with Dawn- Being caught in the storm after running away from Cole, and finding shelter. Her horse leaves her stranded. Favorite scene with Cole- His last angry conversation with his sister. Together- Dawn finally tells Cole about the money after watching him look all day for it. They argue about it, Dawn feeling that she deserves the money, Cole telling her that it's not hers to keep. What did you like about Dawn- She was strong because of what she had been through. She was a tough cookie, stubborn and strong-willed, even though she made some bad choices that got her into trouble. What didn't you like about Dawn- She didn't trust Cole, no matter what he did to make her trust him. Sometimes she compared him to her ex-husband and father. She worked in a saloon because of Cole. This is not a bad thing-She was too innocent. It got her into trouble, especially where men were concerned. Despite not trusting him, she gave into sex easily. She tended to put herself down. What did you like about Cole- Cole had a good heart. He cared about the Indians. He did everything in his power to protect them. He wanted to protect Dawn, even if he refused to admit his love for her. What didn't you like about Cole- I don't blame him for mourning his dead wife, but he wouldn't allow himself to love again. He hurt Dawn deeply, especially when he said he would never love her. This is not a bad thing-but Cole treated Dawn like she was too fragile. She might have been, but I thought she had a lot of strength and guts. She became stronger because of what she had gone through. Casting Cole, I'd cast Hugh Jackman. Casting Dawn, I'd cast America Ferrera.
ONE OF THE BEST!

This is the first book I've ever read by Connie Mason and it is a KEEP. The characters are so alive and the story is well told. I can't help feeling sorry for Dawn, poor thing. Cole is a great hero, but I also hate him for not admitting his feelings. Overall, Great story.
