When at law school in New York in 1965, I drove taxicab at night and learned a great deal about the city in three years. Today when I visit the city many old tricks work, but many changes mean more new ones are needed. This book fills a great need for me, and I think I know my way around. A newcomer can do nothing but benefit from as much of this book as they choose to master. I carry it in the car in case I will be driving there where my daughter lives and works. Keeping traffic in motion is the secret to city driving and pleasure.
