Book Overview

Every 13,000 years on Earth a sacred and secret event takes place that changes everything. Mother Earth's Kundalini energy emerges from its resting place in the planet's core and moves like a snake across the surface of our world. Once at home in ancient Lemuria, it moved to Atlantis, then to the Himalayan mountains of India and Tibet, and with every relocation changed our idea of what spiritual means. And gender. And heart. This time, with much difficulty,...

I wasn't able to read it....

the girl from ipanema goes walking thru the dreamtime...

truly i am only 1/2 way through Drunvalo's wonderful book but i had to let you all know now, what a fine ride it is and if you just say nay, you have only yourselves to blame. something that struck me whilst reading these reviews, is that those who cannot do that muy importante suspension of disbelief thing, will find themselves adrift and bereft here. fortunately, i have experienced enough of the so-called magic and miraculous in my own life that i've ridden that sympatico wave of synchronistic sweetness and have found it most certainly not wanting. know it, be it, live it. give it, a try. what have u to lose? most importantly, if you do experience such anomalousities, you'll find a whole new world awaits. very juicy, exciting, and mathmatically correct. some say: i'll believe it when i see it. if you don't believe, it can be right in front of you, and you will never see it. ala Capt'n Cook / Hawaiians. i, for one?--have no problem believing the story w/in this book. i've had such experiences myself. well? so. you happy on your raft alone? or come join us. it's up to you. bon voyage ps i only use lower case because i have carpal tunnel. so.

Earth's great shift

Drunvalo's chronicled life as a volunteer in service to Mother Earth seems more like a fantasy or science fiction story, than real life...except for one's inner sense that these places exist, and the events really happened. Each adventure adds a unique piece to the story, while also teaching a different way to perceive the world...for those with ears to hear. His best writing by far, destined to receive mention in National BEST BOOKS 2008 Awards, SERPENT OF LIGHT is as compelling a read as Jonette Crowley's THE EAGLE AND THE CONDOR is, and the events noted in each support the greater story of which both writers have played seminal parts. Compelling writing; immensely significant information; plants seeds for the opening of the Heart Center; you may even receive a transmission or six.

The Serpent Of Light By Drunvallo Melchizedek

Five stars intended but it registered three by mistake. This is a fascinating story by a master story-teller. It can be enjoyed from many levels and it is a very important milestone in our understanding of what monumental changes are taking place on our planet at this time. The eagle and the condor, symbolizing North and South America, are coming together in the historic gathering of elders of the indigenous tribes in the Yucatan area of Mexico. Drunvallo is invited to join them in assisting in the journey of the Unity Consciousness symbolized by the Serpent of Light. This Unity Consciousness has been in Tibet and is moving to The Andes in Chile. Every 13,000 years it moves location, as it did from Lemuria to Atlantis to Tibet and now to The Andes mountains. When it moves to a new location a new spiritual awareness enters consciousness from that location and a shift of power from the male to the female takes place. The female spiritual light will permeate human experience and will and will expand throughout human experience for the next period of 13,000 years. We are taken on a fascinating journey through the Mayan Peninsula and Moorea and there we meet the enlightened elders of many indigenous cultures and are introduced to amazing ceremonies of Light and experiences beyond our usual experiences. Many interesting aspects of MAyan wisdom are esplored e.g. crystal skulls, kivas, orbs of light, sacred geometry, to mention just a few. This is a book I will return to again and again and also as a reference book. five stars intended

Fascinating

This book tells of teacher and spiritual guide Drunvalo Melchizedek's journeys to sacred sites in North and Mesoamerica. Guided by Mayan prophecy and contact with Mayan shamans, Drunvalo leads his groups from one sacred site to another, performing earth healing ceremonies as they go. Unusual experiences happen at each site, confirming that the purpose of the ceremonies has been fulfilled. Drunvalo's message is that energy moves through the earth similar to the Kundalini force, and that with healing and open heart exercisesLiving in the Heart: How to Enter into the Sacred Space Within the Heart, the earth can be healed and readied for the rebirth of a new spirituality in the area of Peru.

A Real Life Spiritual Adventure Story

It is hard to do justice to this spiritual adventure story. Words seem totally inadequate. That we have depleted and vandalized the Earth's resources in over a few decennia is a well known fact, as we grapple with issues like greenhouse gases and global warming. However, there are other facets of our lovely planet that we haven't yet been made aware of, at a global level. The 'Serpent of Light' is one such. Simply put, it is the Spirit of the Earth. Legend has it that it moves every 13,000 years from its resting place to another. The area that the Serpent rests in, gives birth to great schoars and thinkers because of the heightened energies. The movement of the Serpent, according to this book, appears to have taken place recently, (in accordance with the dawning of the Aquarian Age) as it moved from its latest home, high up in the Himalayas to its present resting place, somewhere between Peru and Chile. This shift in the Earth's energy was predicted by the Mayans about 13,000 years ago. Anchoring this energy properly in its present home has involved a concerted effort worldwide at different levels of consciousness. In this book, Drunvalo Melchizedek talks of the work in which he himself has played a major part. For the first time in my reading, I find a spiritual action story. Coincidences take place so often that one is surprised that one can be surprised at all, that one has not got hardened to the rapid turn of events. Where, for instance, people whom you don't know at all, but are supposed to meet, turn up out of the blue, where you happen to be, to participate in a complex ceremony that required their presence. Where a group of people, drawn from all over the globe, come together to perform intricate rites, and the joy and exhilaration they generate together, as these ancient rituals are conducted, as the consciousness of native American tribes who have been wiped out, are resurrected from the Nether Worlds. The sense of an unceasing party, full of wonderful surprises comes through very vividly in this book. Drunvalo mentions, also in some detail, his role in awakening and balancing the Goddess Consciousness in the late 1980's. In this, as in all his other ventures, he is mentored by Thoth and the angels. The book concludes with the story of his ongoing interaction with the Maori from New Zealand. The author attributes his success in getting across to the ancient tribes of the world, to his own heart based perception, heightened after years of doing the Mer Ka Ba meditation. He mentions a time during one of the ceremonies which focused on healing the heart chakra, with a globally drawn group of participants, when one of them said that she sensed (at the end of the ceremony) that 'the Tower of Babel was shattered to splinters'. This book has moved me as very few have. It contains many nuggets of badly needed esoteric wisdom within its 270 odd pages, pages that bear testimony to a way of life, devoted to living in the eternal Now with tot
