Belly Dancers - this deserves a place in your collection.

Belly dancers nowadays have a plethora of videos to choose from, whether to learn moves or analyze dances. But books also deserve a place in your collection, for their instructional value as well as historical memorabilia. I'm sure you'll laugh, as I did, when you read the hyped-up copy on the outside - ANY WOMAN CAN!We all know you really have to put in the time, or be younger and stronger and more gymnastically inclined before those moves in the later chapters are doable, much less second nature.Serena's book was THE best selling belly dance mass-market book in its time, and I believe even came out in a spiral-bound edition.
This is a good book!

I rented this book from the library. Though it is more difficult to learn the art of belly dance from a book, this book is the best I've seen! Serena targets all levels, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. She teaches you all the moves and steps, and how to place them together in a dance. You learn it all: moves, steps, veil and zill work, floor routines, music, and even how to make your own costume. Everything about belly dancing is included.I'm a beginner, and I learned a lot from her book. This is a must!
