A Dream Come True

Not really a fan of what other people are saying, but I gotta agree: it's a good book. The characters are real. They have flaws, complex feelings, and real heart. Such is rare in a book. I SYMPATHIZED with a cheater. I never do that, in books or in real life. And the dream sequencessssssss! I love a book with good, meaningful "dream" sequences. I wish the author had pushed it a little further, but perhaps she will in the sequel. If you want a book that will dig it's claws further and further into you with every page, this is the book for you.

Fantastic book!

It was slow at first, then I could not put it down. I am super happy to find out this is the first in a series.

Awesome concept of dragons

Loved this book! Interesting take on dragons, wonderfully complex world and story, amazing characters. There was just a little bit of everything going on in this book and I adored it.

I absolutely loved the book. The plot does take a few chapters to pick up but once it does you're sucked into a world that you don't necessarily want to leave. I loved the rich world and character building that took place as well as the descriptive nature that Rachel Hartman has. Plenty of drama and hints of romance are in this book as well as political issues that aren't overly complicated or drawn out. A few minor issues are the words used in the book are the author's own creation but there is a glossary in the back to clear up any confusion. Overall I would say this book is worth your time if you like fantasy, romance, and of course dragons.
