MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
This is my first book by Barbara Casey, so I haven’t read any of The F.I.G. Mysteries, but this Book Five seems to be OK as a stand alone. There is quite a bit of back story so I had no trouble playing catchup. It seems like Caroline is in for some trouble and hoping the F.I.Gs can help. I was fascinated with this group of girls. They all ended up at Willow Ros Orphanage and Academy for Girls and formed a group and called themselves female intellectual geniuses, because all of the girls were very highly intelligent, each having gifts that were unique. And it was interesting to follow this group of characters as they developed so well throughout the book.
This is a YA, Middle grade book and I can see this age group loving this story. Barbara Casey does a fabulous job writing this story, and her amount of research is very evident in the detailed scenes in this book. If you enjoy Mystery and Fantasy type genre, you will enjoy this one as well. And you may want to look at the first four books in the series as well.
A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
