EXCELLENT teaching manual

This is a really worth while text book on self-hypnosis. I think it works better with a teacher, simply because it offers so many options under each topic, but it is very thorough, well researched, easy to read, and cites a great many other substantial sources.

Excellent Book for Self-Hypnosis

As a Clinical Hypnotherapist - this book is the first one on the list of books I recommend to anyone interested in self-hypnosis. I consider it one of the best books on self-hypnosis. It is very well written and it covers vast range of topics whether you desire to lose weight, stop smoking, increase self-confidence, manage pain, reduce stress or just about anything else. If you happen to be one of those who find this book too challenging or advanced and are looking just for some scripts you can use, you may also check out Instant Self-Hypnosis: How To Hypnotize Yourself with Eyes Open.

Best Self-Hypnosis Book

A experienced hypnotist, with 16 years experience as a forensic hypnotist for a police department, told me this is the best book on the subject. I am now reading the book and it is great. The beginning contains the best definition of hypnosis I've seen.

Easy-to-read, non-technical, many uses, a good value.

This book explains what self-hypnosis and hypnosis in general is about and how to do it. It is layed out very well and easy to understand. The writers provide instructions for applying the method to many different problems. I bought it for stress and found I also used the anxiety and the teethgrinding instructions with good results, and my wife used the pain control part for a low back pain that flares up occasionally. I've loaned my copy to several friends over the past year who've gotten very good results. There's a lot in the bood for the money. --GP Minneapolis
