Seeing the Unseen

This is by far one of the best bible studies I have ever read. Mr. Beam provides an in depth study of spiritual warfare. Using scripture, he explains exactly what angels and demons are, how they know us and how they influence our lives. More importantly, he uses scripture to show us how we can protect ourselves. I've been a Christian all my life, but after reading this book, my eyes have been opened. I've read the book twice and plan to read it again. I also plan to purchase and give copies to friends and family for Christmas. I respect Mr. Beam as an author of tremendous integrity. He uses scripture to back up everything in the book. I really enjoyed this book. Very logical and thoughtful with scripture to back up major points. The NIV translation of the Bible uses the terms rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world to represent spiritual forces of evil. Joe Beam goes into great detail to define these terms and brings you into the great drama that took place on the cross. There was a great battle that took place in the history of creation. God chose to be a humble child who grew up to be a carpenter to end the war and defeat sin, death, and Satan. There is one chapter that is a melodrama in which Joe Beam takes us right to the cross where Satan confronts his Creator. Satan thinks he won by killing his King. Only to realize that his pride and arrogance helped save mankind from God's wrath. Seeing the Unseen takes you into the cold war that is still battling on until the day Christ returns. My faith was strengthened and yours might be to if you decide to read this book.

Joe Beam uses amazing logic and insight in offering you this study on the unseen spiritual world. I have read this book 3 times and I learn something new each time. If you want to strengthen your faith and learn how to fight the spiritual war much better-read this book. The only way you can fight the enemy is if you know who the enemy is. Joe Beam unmasks the enemy and his methods.

I used this book in a home bible study a few years back. The authors interpretation and consistant use of scripture keeps you grounded in God's word and not in man's opinion. What a blessing givin the number of "this is what I think" books on the shelves these days. No country goes into battle without first studying the tactics and history of their opponent. To not prepare with this information would be utter foolishness. "Seeing The Unseen" helps you to understand and prepare for the battle which every christian will engage in from the point of salvation untill God calls them home. This study can open up the eyes of the un-believer as well to the spiritual realm which envelopes us all. God is supernatural, as is His entire realm. We are sheltered here on earth in a natural state, blocked from the perception and understanding of the supernatural that scripture talks about. I encourage every christian to pick this one up. Learn what God, Jesus and the writers of the bible have told us about the lies and connivings of Satan and how he desires to make us "useless soldiers" in God's kingdom. Grab your bible, sit down and get comfortable, and read. You won't want to get up untill your done!

Joe's book is a must have. It's that simple. Satan is not passive; rather, he's agressively stalking us. Seeing the Unseen compiles Scriptural insights as to how Satan works to trap and kill us. It also provides Scriptural means for "resisting the devil" so that "he will flee from us."
