MomSoup Review: See Spot Read Otto Books

The cutest pre-reading books currently out on the market. The characters are adorable and well drawn. The minimalist stories are fun and entertaining. Much more interesting than See Spot Run!

A great book for a beginning reader

So many of the "easy reader" books are too challenging and therefore too frustrating for kids who are just beginning to read. This book is just right. It's easy for a beginner to master, so it builds confidence. This is also a cute and funny book. I makes my 5-year-old laugh out loud.

THE FIRST BOOK MY CHILD READ TO ME

AFTER READING THIS BOOK TO MY 4 YEAR OLD FIVE TIMES, SHE READ IT TO ME. THIS IS THE KIND OF BOOK THAT WILL BUILD CONFIDENCE.

This book inspired my child to read!

The wonderful visual humor in this book delighted my child and inspired him to read! My son often finds reading tedious but Otto's charm and humor won him over. Plus Otto's a robot from space -- how cool is that? The Otto books are very simple, with lots of word/sound repetition -- the perfect beginning reader books. We went on to read all the Otto books we could put our hands on and have given these books to other kindergarten friends for birthday presents.

A Hip & Funny Re-Do of the "See Spot Run"

I love this book, more importantly, my 5 year old loves this book! Otto, a little robot, launches into space (perched upon the nose cone of his rocket), confronts an angry rhino and ends up befriending two artistic monkeys. "See Otto" is told in the style of the old Dick and Jane primers, only much, much better: the graphics are bold and adorable and the humor rye and clever. It will enchant kids and leave adults wishing "See Otto" was around when they were beginning readers.
