It Really Works

This book's title :( Secrets of self-hypnosis, making it work for you) describes exactly what it does and I wish I could give it 10 stars. On page 17 Dr Goldberg says: "Hypnosis takes place in the alpha state, or subconscious mind, which is best described as a computer. Just as a computer is programmed or fed information, the subconscious mind is undergoing a programming process." Then he ended the chapter by naming 26 things which are the benefit of self hypnosis. The first 10 are: 1). Increased relaxation and the elimination of tension. 2). Increased and focused concentration 3). Improved reflexes 5). Increased self-confidence 6). Pain control 7). Improved sex life 8). Increased organization and efficiency 9). Increased motivation 10). Improved interpersonal relationships All these things are absolutely true in my experience moreover; the results are disproportionate to the efforts of the technique. Meaning that, you put in 10 percent of time and energy and get back a 100 percent of beneficial results. I followed his advice and made recordings of my own voice which I then used to give instructions to my subconscious while falling asleep at nights. I used a free, powerful software named audacity to create the recordings. During the daytime, as I go about my busy daily schedule I find--to my initial amazement--that I automatically act out these instructions with no effort on my part. For instance I gave my mind instructions that as I learn to play the piano (which is a part of my daily schedule) I will just find that my fingers have no trouble finding the right keys on the piano keyboard as I play. I experiment with many things. I gave myself instructions that I would be a better chess player. Sure enough, next day I'm kicking people's butt on the chess board with no effort to the amazement of spectators who knew how I sucked before. I include multiple instructions to let me get better at a variety of activities. Above all I include nightly instructions for the attainment of superb peace and happiness and joy which to my satisfaction, is mine to enjoy the next day. I've finally found a definite guarantee to happiness without the need of an external stimulus. What more could I ask for. Thank you Dr. Goldberg. P.S. Just want to add that it does take some time for the technique to become truly effective, a maturation period-as it were. For me it was around 30 days. That is, after the first night of starting to give muself instructions to be good at chess, for instance, thirty days later I start to get better at chess.

Top Secrets of Self-Hypnosis

This was the first book I bought on this suject and it is great. Real easy to understand. This is the perfect book if you are just starting to get into this. It teaches almost everything you would want to learn. I enjoyed this book a lot. You can master self-hypnosis producing the self-made audiocassetes and go on to use it to increase self-confidence, improve memory, cure insomnia, quit smoking, lose weight, break bad habits, remember dreams, enhance sexual performance, and more. Everything is very simple. Easy-to-follow tips show exactly how to achieve whatever goals are desired. The only problem with this book -- where are the secrets of self-hypnosis?

Good book for beginner

As a novice, I found this a very interesting and informative writing. I have been able to use this info for age regression. It has given me a more positive outlook, by giving me a tool to research myself. Thanks
