Great story and interesting art

This book presents a very interesting action story, it is perfect for the forcoming Avengers Movie, because it has a lot of action and suspence, the art is diferent but very dynamic. The central idea is that Nick Fury is capable to do everything to save innocent people including deceive and brainwash all his superheroes friends, sadly the final leaves you with more questions than answers, anyway this book it is a must have, and I hope some day Marvel Comics creates Secret War 2.

Bendis doing what he does best

I just recently revisited this series, and I enjoyed it even more the second time. This series is superbly written (Not to mention fantastic artwork and extras). B.M. Bendis is at his best when he takes B-list characters and writes terrific story lines that makes these second division characters as intriguing as A-listers. The exciting storyline that links the A-list heroes with the B-list villains involved is fascinating and extremely engaging. What's also great about Bendis is his ability to write a short series which has such a major impact on the entire universe. If you liked Disassembled and have enjoyed what's going on with the Civil War fallout you will enjoy this series.

I rather liked it

I've heard some complaints about this book, and it has its weak moments, and I'll admit, I groaned a little when I first heard of it, but it's a nice story, though not as fully explored as it could have been, and it led up to much more and bigger changes in the Marvel Universe (also could have been handled better), but in the end, this book stars a great cast of characters doing what they do. Yeah, I'd give it five stars (or maybe 4 1/2).

One of the Stepping Stones to Civil War

This is one of the stories that set the spring board for Civil War. The story goes that it is discovered that villans are being backed by the Latverian Prime Minister and Nick Fury gets a group of Heroes to stop him consisting of Captain America, Spider-man, Luke Cage, Daredevil, Black Widow, Wolverine and a SHIELD agent named Daisy Johnson. The fallout of this event helps to make Civil War happen.

Must own for Secret Invasion!

This book is the fantastic beginning to what will become Secret Invasion! Nick Fury assembles a team that consists of Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Daredevil, Black Widow, and new character Daisy. Their mission: to blow up the Latverian embassy. Dr. Doom no longer runs it, it's run by Lucia Von Bardas. They go in, blow it up, and Fury mindwipes the heroes. One year later, the heroes are attakced by tons of tech heavy villains. Why? Retalliation. Lucia never died, so she plans on killing all the heroes and taking over. They take her out. But WHY?!? Why is the question?!?! Fury can't tell anyone. He doesn't tell. And that's the brilliance that is in this book. He doesn't tell. What are we fighting for? The answer to that, I'm sure lies in the upcoming "Secret Invasion" which is about a skrull invasion. But this "Secret War" contains some majorly kickass fighting which is the perfect setup for Secret Invasion. 'Nuff Said!
