It's not a secret anymore that Secret Lovers is one of the hottest books on the market today. And now that I've finished reading all three stories, I know why. They're great! Each of the stories were different yet they shared two common emotions: love and sensitivity. Beginning with Irresistible Flames by Particia Phillips, I was immediately pulled into the book with the story of Kelly and Byron. After an unexpected accident, Kelly begins to have second thoughts about her engagement to Bryon and honestly, she should. This story shows us that "the perfect couple" is usually not perfect at all. In Second Chances, by Maxine Thompson, I was so touched that I almost cried at the end. I had to take a break before reading the last story to get my emotions in check. Caprianna and her husband, Marquise, were already on shaky ground when they were faced with a tragedy. This storyline, told from first person, was a good mixture of romance and spirituality blended together to make for a smooth read. Not only did this one put you in the center of the action, but it pulled you into the eye of the tornadoe that Capri was struggling to survive with all that she had. Maxine pulled out all the stops for this story. And the last novella, Detoured, by Michelle McGriff, was right on target. It was a sweet tale of teenage love and mature love, showing how they are different and yet similiar. All I can say is, this was an enjoyable, memorable, and wonderful read with realistic characters for all ages. If you don't know the secret to this best selling book, then pick it up now and start reading today. You won't be disappointed because I'm looking forward to reading more stories from each of these talented authors. Barbara Joe-Williams, author of "Dancing with Temptation"

I picked up, Secret Lovers, the other day and flipped to, Second Chances, by wordsmith Maxine Thompson. I was certainly in for a literary treat! Thompson has the ability to pull readers into her stories and I must admit I got caught up. I wondered what I would do if like Capriana, my entire world fell apart as my business failed, my employee tried to murder me and my husband divorced me. I plan to read the other stories by Patricia Anne Phillips and Michelle McGriff, and I pray they're half as good as, "Second Chances."
Very enjoyable stories

I am sure Dr. Maxine Thompson has been told numerous times that she is truly gifted with the capability of going deeply in the soul of her characters as she did with Caprianna. I have medical & psych background and this story is soo believable and fulfilling, but yet, I hated for it to end. Patricia Phillips is one of my favorite authors. She's won me over even more with this story. A very wholesome and entertaining read. Michelle McGriff is very talented. A good story as she addressed very important issues through her characters. A realistic and enjoyable read for everyone.

All three stories were good reads. Each story seemed simple on the surface, but had many layers of meaning. Now I plan to read more of Maxine Thompson's, Michelle McGriff's and Pat Phillips books.
A good read

I just read Secret Lovers. I'd only read one book by Patricia Ann Phillips before, and I'm new to Maxine Thompson and Michelle McGriff's writing. I enjoy the three stories very much as they were not sexually graphic or full of bad language despite some of the topics touched on. I think all three authors have a lot of talent and now I am going to make sure I get some of the books they wrote on their own. Secret Lovers was great reading and I highly recommend it.
