When I got this book out of the library I was so enthralled after reading it that I had to buy my own copy, instantly (thanks Barbara's Books!). The emotional tone is darker than most romances, but sometimes this is good. The heroine is a former junkie turned romance writer, a bitter single mother whose sole joy is her teenage daughter.
