Williams-Sonoma Savoring Tuscany: Recipes and Reflections on Tuscan Cooking

I have purchased several books from the "Savoring" cookbook series and I have not been disappointed with any of them. What I love about these books besides the luscious recipes and great pictures is the history behind each recipe and its origin. Although I have never been into reading cookbooks before, this series of cookbooks has converted me into someone who does and in the process I have become a more creative cook. Additionally, these books feature tid bits and background information on the main ingredients used by that particular country or region. Great photos of the featured areas as well!

I made the pureed white bean soup from the book and it was awesome! I even bought a food mill to get the recipe exactly right and it was so worth the 40 bucks I spent on it

I found the recipies in this book very easy to follow and the majority of the ingredients were relatively easy to obtain. The photography work is exceptional; pictures of Tuscany are remarkably colourful and expressive of the lifstyle. The recipies are fantastic, tasty and definitely authentic.
