When Mariana Fowler arrives in the Minnesota territory, she is not prepared for the uncivilized world she encounters. What unsettles her most is the man who captures her attention, a handsome Chippewa brave named Lone Hawk - an enemy of her people.
I didn't need to know anything before the purchase other than that I really love Cassie Edwards books. I enjoyed this book very much it showed conflict not only between the whites and indians but also between a father and daughter. It reminds me of the importance to not judge someone without getting to know them; no matter what your heritage is or the color of ones skin. I liked how Ms. Edwards describe the area of the Grand Portage fort and Lake Superior so much that I may have to take a vacation there during the summer. I hope that you enjoy this book as much as I did.
Another Great Story for Cassie!

I am hooked on these Historical romances stories and I believe that Cassie did a great job in this story with the plot and characters as usual. I am not a EXPERT of history and don't read her books to "pick" at the historical facts. I read to get involved with the plot and the characters. This I believe that she does a fine job with in this story. This is way I find her books so enjoyable. Good job Cassie!
