Satan's War on Free Agency

While I was quite familiar with the concept of agency before reading Greg's book it clarified key aspects of agency for me. I especially appreciated his discussion of how agency maps into parenting -- wish I had read this before my children were grown.

This book was a fast read and provided great insights into many things that I had never previously thought of. Every christian would benefit from this book whether they are LDS or not. This book changed my perspective for the better and filled in many many blank spots in my understanding. A MUST READ

Basic elements of society are falling apart. Families are crumbling; schools are less effective; People are depressed; nations are at war; trust for even our own president is at an all time low. Root causes and answers to the why of what's going on around us are hard to find. Greg Wright's book gives us a powerful key to understanding why so many things are not working. Fundamental principles of thinking and behaving create a domino effect that we all feel and experience. "Satan's War on Free Agency" gave me the key to see what's behind the path we are on--whether that be a path of fear/dissapointment/failure - or a path of peace and hope.

Wright's book is full of keen insights solidly backed by scripture. Using the words of the prophets, he helps shed light onto the topic of agency and Satan's desire to destroy it as stated in Latter-day revelation. In a nutshell: Nowhere in the canon of scripture is it ever stated that Satan wanted to destroy man's agency by "FORCING mankind to do what was right" as some attest. Rather it is plainly stated that Lucifer sought to "destroy the agency of man." Is it possible that Satan may have proposed to destroy agency by eliminating negative consequences? Wright's book is intuitive and engaging. The implications are deep and profound. This is a must-read for every Latter-day Saint, shedding greater light onto the doctrine of Agency, its utility and what the War in Heaven may have really been and continues to be about.
