Good manga 8

My usual favorite anime duo of the manga. I liked the special side story parts though.

Sasaki and Miyano Volume 8 (Sasaki and Miyano Are Boyfriends For Life!)

Sasaki and Miyano Volume 8 continues the story after Sasaki graduates high school. Miyano receives some BL manga from Kuresawa’s girlfriend, Yuki, as thanks for all the help he’s giving Kuresawa in the reference BL manga assistance department. Miyano appreciates it but won’t be hanging out with friends anytime soon—because he’s in love with Sasaki and has to spend every possible second with him! When Sasaki visits Miyano, he’s astonished to find Miyano on the verge of tears; once Miyano explains why, the two continue to hang out like usual—talking about BL manga and songs with hugs in between. When Miyano returns to school, he finds Kuresawa beginning to fit that bad-boy personality. With pierced ears, Kuresawa is following in Hirano’s footsteps. Later on, when Sasaki and Miyano meet, they discuss earring piercings, and Miyano asks Sasaki if he will pierce his ears when he gets to college. But before that, Miyano runs into his old friend, Makimura, and tells her about his feelings and relationship. Also, Tashiro’s friend, Shirahama, gets introduced in this volume. Miyano gets the idea that he may have a fellow fudanshi in the group but is sadly mistaken. Shirahama is shocked when Tashiro reveals that Miyano has a boyfriend. Sasaki picking up Miyano after school is too cute. On their way to Sasaki’s house, Sasaki and Miyano promise to give their birthdays to one another, meaning they will spend the whole day with their boyfriend. When they get inside, Miyano falls asleep on Sasaki’s bed, and Sasaki decides it’s time to take advantage of Miyano. Unfortunately, this is where the main story stops—on another cliffhanger. Half of the book contains the main story, and the other half includes bonus scenes that never made it into the original texts. Although I love the Sasaki and Miyano series, I wish this volume had more of the main story. The bonus content was still unique. The picture tales were hilarious. Shou Harusono has done a fantastic job with the narrative. I am grateful for reading this series and the Sasaki and Miyano First-Years Volume 1, so I already know who Shirahama and Yuki are. I can’t wait to read the future volumes. Next on my reading list is Hirano’s and Kagiura’s storyline.
