Sarah M. Peale: America's First Woman Artist

I LOVED this book. I'm normally don't read historical fiction and was quite surprised to find myself completely swept up into the life of Sarah M. Peale, America's first woman artist. I found the writing engaging and detailed, transitioning easily throughout the book. Sarah Peale paved the way for women artists in America, and yet prior to reading this book I had never heard her name before! Thank you Joan King for bringing Sarah Peale, her life and her art the attention she so richly deserves.
