SAP is just a piece of software. If this sounds familiar, this book is for you. Learn from bestselling author Michael Doane what it means to implement SAP, and how SAP will change your business... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Now that we've implemented SAP and we've been in production for a couple of years I look back on this book as one of the more enjoyable books on SAP that I've read. If you're just starting out, this is a good book to put in perspective what an SAP implementation has in-store. It's almost worth it just for the humorous descriptions of what the letters "SAP" "stand for". But, if you're looking for a magic book to guide you through the implementation; this isn't it, and I've yet to find such a thing. SAP software is like a galaxy; there are many millions of stars in it, each a separate world with specialized consultants and vocabulary. You've got to start exploring someplace, this book isn't a bad place to start.
Very good book

Excellent text for management staff

We're in the process of evaluating SAP, and I wanted to share this with the upper management team as part of our preparatory work for the '99 implementation. I found it to be well-written, and directed to the managers' needs as opposed to many of the other texts that are more technically oriented. I'm just disappointed that it's back-ordered!
