Sadie the Air Mail Pilot

We'd been frequenting the fabulous Museum of Flight in Seattle with our 3 year old, so I've been looking for a book my son would enjoy that involved airplanes. At first glance I was absolutely captivated by the artwork in this book. The story is solid and has a nice mix of situations and characters, but the real treats here are its sumptuous illustrations. They are so full of life and wonderment that even I never get tired of looking at them. Best of all, my son's wide eyes just languidly float around the pages, in seeming disbelief at the detail and pure imagination on display. This is one book that I will add to my personal art book collection long after my son has grown. That is, if he lets me have it back at some point. My dream is that there are someday 10 more of these wonderful stories with Sadie and the gang in a series. The character and setting sure seem ripe for a series, and I'll be there day-one to buy each of them, even if my son is a teenager by then!

A cute book with wonderful illustrations. My 3 year old enjoys the story and my 8 and 10 year old were inspired by the art work as they say it is neat and cool. A well executed book that I enjoy reading to my youngster. The book, a hardcover, is nicely put together and has sturdy binding.

I have a 2 year old and 4 year old and they love this book. It is a cute story with absolutely gorgeous illustrations.

This is a wonderful book, that kept toddler and mom interested from beginning to the end and over again. The illustrations are really beautiful and the story captivating. Any more stories from the same author?

Kellie Strom's SADIE THE AIR MAIL PILOT tells of some brave pilots and planes which fly air mail. Sadie in particular risks her whiskers to fly the air mail to safety in this fun story of planes run by animals.
