Running Scared

I just can't pass up a book by Lisa Jackson! She really knows how to write a thriller...........an excellent author.

I didn't know this was a reprint of an earlier title, but I hadn't read it before, so that fact didn't make any difference. I've read most of Lisa Jackson's more recent books, and most of them are very dark. I actually enjoyed the fact that this one wasn't, and that the characters were more developed than those in the later books. Since the plot has already been described in another review, I won't restate it. I'll just say that the book had an entertaining plot, the right amount of suspense, and nicely developed relationships with Dagan, Kate, and Jon. (And, thank goodness, not a serial killer anywhere.) I thought it was a great read and recommend it.

I am so glad this came out!!!!! It may be a re-print but it is out of commission, you can not buy them any more and I have not read it,, If you are complaining that it is a re-print you should have read what it was bout and it clearly states it was another name before this, as for me, I wish Lisa would put in Kindle all of her older ones that are out of re-print to give us the pleasure of reading them.. Kate is terrific as she behaves like the Running Scared man in Roy Orbison's song of the same title as she always expected someone to claim Jon as theirs. When he and the extended Sullivan family converge on the Pacific Northwest, Kate knows her nightmare has come true but it is even worse than her frightening dreams as she never expected her son to be in danger.
