A MUST READ!

This book is a must read for coaches of all talent levels and years of experience. Full of suggestions, ideas and perspectives that are invaluable in your growth as a teacher of the game. I was able to utilize many of the perspectives, and the other items gave me ideas as to how I may improve my program NOW. You will not regret this purchase.

Terrific Book

Dick DiVenzio hits a home run with this book. Great guide for coaches and leaders on a basketball team. The book flows nicely and is easy to read and gets right to the point. I can't wait to implement many of his suggestions with my own team!

Basketball Bible

If I could incorporate many of the things DeVenzio talks about, I could be a very special player. A way for basketball players to gain insight and knowledge that will help them gain an edge over their opponents.

Awesome for players and coaches

This is a great book for players and coaches, there is a ton of valuable information inside. Read this book if you want to become a better player or coach.

Good, not great

Obviously Dick Devenzio was impressive in many ways. His ability and drive was amazing as was his passion for teaching. Were this review on him, it would be an unqualified 5+. Running the Show offers some of Dick's ideas on leadership and you can "feel" his enthusiasm through the words. On the other hand, there is not a whole lot that can be learned if you are an "old hand". I gave it to my 14year old and I fully expect that she will get more out of it than I did. It is well written and I heartily recommend this for younger and/or less experienced players and coaches.
