This is a wonderful book. In the book, Roxie is going to enter in a red rose painting contest and so is her friend. When her friend asked Roxie to teach her to paint a rose, Roxie is reluctant at first, but decides to help. Through the final days before the deadline of the contest, Roxie's older sister keeps getting red roses from an anonymous boy. Roxie finds out that the anonymous boy is her friend's older brother, who she has a crush on! The girl that Roxie is teaching to paint roses has gotten better than Roxie and Roxie knows it. Will Roxie win the contest even though her friend is better? Will she get her friend's older brother to pay more attention to her than her sister?
