When Kanga goes shopping, Roo doesn't want to be left with a baby-sitter. But when Winnie the Pooh shows up, Roo realizes that Pooh doesn't know how to baby-sit. Luckily, Roo knows exactly what to do.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
In "Roo's New Baby-sitter," Kanga tells Roo that she's going out on a shopping trip. Roo wants to go with her, but Kanga tells her that he's going to stay home and have a babysitter. And that babysitter is... that silly old bear --- Winnie the Pooh! Pooh does his best to babysit Roo, but the truth is he's not really sure what a babysitter does. So it's more like Roo is babysitting him! This is reasonably cute book. But if you're looking for a book that's actually going to teach your kids about what happens when they have a babysitter, I'm not sure if this is really what you want. Most of the other books in this series contain good info, but this one is more just sort of fun. For a book that actually teaches kids about having a babysitter, I would recommend something like Heidi Murkoff's "What to Expect When the Babysitter Comes," part of the "Angus the Answer Dog" series. If you and/or your kids enjoy the humor of Pooh / Kanga and Roo, then this will probably be an enjoyable book for you, nonetheless.
