I have read other romance novels, but they simply do not match the elegantly-woven story Ewing creates. Eleanor is the kind of person I can relate to, especially in her love for Lee. However, she seems to be the kind of person who relies on her own convictions when she feels an injustice is being done. I once read that a "reader" should not identify himself(herself) with any of the characters in a book or novel. Nonetheless, in my perusal of this novel, I couldn't help but compare myself to Eleanor, who reminds me of myself. Reading the story definitely left me with a feeling of deja vu. It was incredible! Rogue's Reward deserves to be read a thousand times over! I highly recommend it to any lover of romance novels, especially Regency romances. What an extraordinary love story. Lee Campbell will forever be my favorite rogue.
