I read this book many years ago when I was still Christian... but I still remember it positively. Obviously, it is a book which discusses how a Christian should approach/deal with rock music and the culture which surrounds it.What was really refreshing about this book was its open-minded approach which said, "Not all rock is evil, just be aware of what the messages are in the music you listen to." I still consider this book to be a balanced approach to the subject matter. Instead of teaching people to exclude entire genres of music from their lives, it teaches discernment about music... and about the other things that we choose to bring into our lives and hearts.Even though I am Pagan now, and a parent... I try to use the basic principle of discernment in my life and in the raising of my kids.
