Robert Mitchum: Solid, Dad, Crazy

I discovered this volume at a local used bookstore and purchased it as an aside. It is anything but that. An absolute masterpiece to behold and to hold tightly. Conceptualized and written with a style that is thorough, defined and exhilarating. Love catches Mitchum moving and stays close throughout. It's all there. There are no highs cast against lows. The volume at once ascends and remains there until the last page is regrettably turned. I foiled that. I go back again & again. The 208 pages are sliced with all manner of book markers.
