This book is great. It was a real page-turner. Instead of Anna being transported back into time, it was her friend Rafe. He travels back in time to found out if his mother was really killed by slave hunters or somehow managed to escape. You'll have to read the book to find out if she was really killed or if she found some way to escape being killed.
