Five Stars

Another excellent book in the Last of the Jedi series Ferus is still attempting to be a double agent pretending to work for the Emperor while at the same time still supporting his friends resisting the Empire. Ferus thinks he can handle it working this close to the dark side is a lot hard then he expects especially when Darth Vader wants him out of the picture while Ferus has no idea Vader was once his former rival at the Jedi Temple Anakin Skywalker but is attempting to figure out who Vader is. Their scenes are very exciting.

The adventure continues...

I love this series and can't wait for the next installment! The characters are great and have the 'feel' of the SW saga. Excellent premise for the events that happened after Order 66, how the surviving Jedi fared, how early steps of the rebellion began and the evolving of Darth Vader. Excellent!

Can Watson go wrong?

This is yet another example of Watson's talent as a writer. Return is yet another execellent addition to the best Star Wars novel series of the year. Even though it is written for younger readers it out shines both the Dark Nest trilogy and the Legacy of the Force series now being released for adults by a mile. This book as well as the ones before are compelling and really draw you into the story no matter your age. I really wish Watson would write a full length Star Wars novel after this series is complete. You should buy and read this book as well as the rest of the series if you have not.

Old rivalries + new twists= MASTERPIECE

These series are getting better and better in every book. Ferus finds himself in a impossibly difficult position: face to face with his old rival, without him knowing it, which makes the story even better. Working for the Empire is proving not to be as good as he thought, since he's gaining distrust from every single person.

Dark Side is outstanding!!

Well, I've been a reader since the beginning and I'm extremely hooked with the series. I'm surprised it was out before it's release date but, I'm very happy that it is. I love the look of this new cover. The model they've chosen for Ferus is pretty cute! Ok, now for the review.... In this book we find Ferus helping the Empire and a resistant group on the planet Samaria. Working as a double agent is dangerous for Ferus. In the end, he finds himself in a tighter situation with Darth Vader plotting a means to get Ferus out of the Emperor's eye. Without going into too many details I just want to say I was left guessing at the end about what Ferus is going to do? He's gotten himself in deep with the Emperor. And it seems he's falling to close to the dark side......ok, that's all I can say :) The writing is so much more fluid and descriptive. We've gotten to know Ferus and Trever better now. Their relationship and how they react to one another is slightly shifting. Which way? I guess we'll have to wait for the next book! Trust me, you're going to love this book. **** For some reason I wasn't able to leave a review for 'Tangled Web' so I've put it below. You can vote just for 'Dark Side' if you'd like :) (Please note, this was originally written over a month ago) Where do I begin? I've just finished reading this book (it's 6am now in Florida). This by far is the best executed and well written story in the 'Last of the Jedi' series. I'm totally floored by the amount of action and plots and subplots that were portrayed. While I was reading it, I was playing the words like a movie in my mind The writing is so fluid, you can't help but keep reading and reading. Jude Watson is an exceptionally talented writer. Simply brilliant. Well, on to the review....Ferus is summoned to meet the Emperor (Palpatine). Unknown to Ferus, longtime friends from his past have been captured and he finds that he is trapped into working for the Empire and the Emperor, in order to save his friends lives. But smart Ferus uses this to his advantage to find out what is really happening on the planet of Samaria. Somehow a planet-wide computer failure has occured, bringing its citizens to the brink of chaos. Ferrus isn't alone on his new assignment. He continues to have help from his friends from the group of the Erased. Eventually, Ferus finds out who the saboteur is and is compelled to help this person escape from the clutches of the Emperors hands. A new Jedi's life has become at stake. (Sorry, can't reveal more than that ) If you've been reading this series from the beginning, you are going to LOVE this installment. I think I laughed six or seven times. I got anxious and the whole story was full of suspense. I kept thinking they'd be caught any minute. It was so great! Ok, now go and buy this book. You're going to love it. Oh, and I'm actually giving this story 10 stars :)
