Excellent!

Rethinking the Brain: New Insights into Early Development provides a great source on the human brain in the first three years. It is well organized and thought out, easy to read, and thorough. It provides limited information on the scientific properties of the brain in order to help explain the points made throughout the book.

Perhaps the best summary of recent brain and chld dev resear

An outstanding, thorough and highly accessible review of new research on the development of children ages 0-5. Was the source of inspiration along with Carnegie Corporation's Starting Points report issued in 1994 for the recent explosion in interest in young children's healthy development. The report was an important research base for the i am Your Child Campaign, a pioneering public education effort spearheaded by film producer Rob Reiner who has devoted considerable attention to publicizing the critical importance of the first years of life in laying the foundation for emotional, social and cognitive development. Beautifully illustrated and written.
