Rescued

Renee Moore had past family problems; Alex Holmes' marriage made for his problems. The two were an unlikely match until Alex's daughter, Jasmine acts up at school and the two meet when Alex volunteers at her school. Renee makes her mind up to go after this man. The back drop of New Orleans after Katrina is the setting for the oldest of the Holmes' brothers story. However, the secondary characters in Gerald, Margo (Alex's mother), and her sneaking around from the boys makes for the most interesting reading along with the antics of daughter, Jasmine. This was an enjoyable read and recommended to those interested in family relationships, New Orleans with just the right amount of romance mixed in. Looking forward to Ms Rochon's next offering.

Just Who Is Rescuing Who?

Alex Holmes is back, and, this time, he's been grounded by an accident at the construction site. His daughter, Jasmine, is misbehaving in class, so he uses his time waiting to recover to volunteer at her school and get her back into line. Renee Moore is the Special Projects coordinator at Jasmine's school, and, when she meets Alex, she finds him to be a special project of her own. Only Alex has given up on the relationship game and only focused on work and his daughter. The usual back and forth between Alex and Renee plays out well, and neither comes across as forced for the sake of the story. Anyone who has read the previous two books in the series will be pleased with the resolution to storyline, even with the unexpected turn that happens.

superb tale

Widower Alexander Holmes buried his wife six years ago, but the New Orleans-based owner of Holmes Construction has never mourned his loss. Instead, he has given up on women; preferring celibacy since he learned his spouse frequently cheated on him; a fact he has hidden from his family especially his daughter Jasmine. Renee Moore has come to the city to help her aunt repair her home from the damage Katrina caused to it. She meets Alex at his daughter's school where she has been hired as special projects coordinator and he is has agreed to be a volunteer because he hopes his being there will straighten out of his child's recent misbehavior. They are attracted to one another, but each has doubts though both decide to take a chance. The third Holmes brother post Katrina New Orleans romance (see DELIVER ME and RELEASE ME) is a superb tale starring two caring wonderful people trying to help others make it in a city still recovering. In fact the contrast between New Orleans and the tiny Caribbean island of St. Martin (the family travels there for a wedding) is stunning. Once again as with the previous "Me" tales, the lead characters make for a delightful entry as these two caregivers find love places each in a strange situation of receiving. Harriet Klausner

This Book Rescued Me

I read this book in one sitting today. This book was a great ending to the Holmes Trilogy. Renee and Alex were so good for each other. I am so happy that Alex found someone to make him happy. I wanted him to find the love that his brothers had. You could not but help want him to find true love. Renee loved him unconditionally and healed his broken soul. His daughter Jasmine is adorable. She was one of the best parts of the book. Talk about a man's love for his child; even with learning the news that could have changed his life; his love for his daughter remained as strong as ever. The secondary story of his mother finding love again and finding a way to tell his sons was just as good as the main plot. Every part of this book was good and the author does a fabulous job of tying all three books together. This is a great story of family love and being there for your family no matter what. I am going back and re-reading Deliver Me and Release Me tomorrow. After reading this book, you will believe in love and fairy tales again.

Great Ending!!

I thought this book was awesome!!! I'm glad it has finally come out! I fell in love with Alex all over again! The characters were engaging and a great family. *** SPOILER ALERT***** I almost cried when Alex got the news at then end... but a great ending to a geat trilogy!!
