I read this book years ago and remember enjoying it. My memory of it was recalled when I chanced to watch a soccer game in an "Irish Pub" located in Cleveland OH. I would like to read it again as soon as I can find a copy.

If you can find it read it. Michael Curtin has written a wonderful book about Ireland, its people and everyday life. You will feel that you know the characters from this book in real life. He captures the everyday language of the people wonderfully. It is simply a book that will make you laugh out loud.
