Designed as an introduction to the Holocaust, this book presents the origins and history of anti-Semitism, beginning in the year 70 C.E., when the Jews were forced out of Jerusalem, to the founding of the State of Israel in 1948. Reviews from da Younger Side

This book is a very insightful and intriguing guide to the Holocaust. Using profound language and touching memories, the author leads us through what should not be forgotten: the genocide of over eleven million people. We should remember the Holocaust so it never happens again.

An Excellent Selection

The book, Remember Not to Forget, recounts the horror of the Holocaust in words children can understand. This story begins when a German man is visiting Jerusalem, Israel, for the feast of Passover. He enters a souvenir store, looking for something to buy in remembrance of his trip. The man decides to buy a Jewish candelabra. As the shopkeeper reaches to hand him the candelabra, the man notices a set of number tattooed on the shopkeeper's arm - numbers from a concentration camp. The story continues with the history of anti-Semitism and the story of the Holocaust. It ends with a description of the Yad Vashem, a national institution in Israel established to study and research the Holocaust. I highly recommend this book to both children and adults seeking information on the holocaust.
