Redeeming Love

I loved this book! My pet peeve and struggle with Christian Fiction is the compromise. This book did an amazing job of giving the story and remaining true to scripture. It made me go back and read Hosea to see for myself. Francine Rivers did what needed to be done!

The person who wrote the comment, "This is the best book I've EVER read. Really." was 100% correct. I couldn't agree more. It's been a long time since I've read a book that I have to FORCE myself to put down. It's such an easy read, yet filled with so many emotions. This led me to purchase other books from the author. This is my favorite book of fiction. I read it for it's connection to Christianity, but it is not limited to Christian audiences. It is a true love story :)

I absolutely loved this book. Francine rivers is an amazing author.

A play on the book of Hosea, this book parallels our constant breaking of the 1st Commandment and God's continual and undeserved forgiveness and mercy.

This has quickly become one of my favorite books. I saw the movie a few months ago and I loved it, but it doesn’t compare to the book. I was hesitant to get the book because I’m not religious, but I am so glad I did. It is so beautifully written and I never wanted the book to end.

This book is so well written and is such a deep and personal reminder of God’s unconditional, everlasting love. If you are a woman who wants to reconnect with Christ and wants to linger on how good and perfect He is, this book is for you. I can’t say enough about it and I think this is a must-read for every Christian woman. My paperback was very good, and had a little writing in it which was completely fine since it was only in the front.

I liked Redeeming Love. When I had to put it down to do life, I did want to get back to it and read on. I would recommend Redeeming Love to anyone that asked. There are wonderful christian concepts throughout this novel which I enjoyed. When I started reading this book I was aware that Francine Rivers writes christian based fiction novels.

This book makes you feel every emotion, good and bad. I love this book. It has been my top favorite for years!

The book was amazing. I gave it to my daughter so she can also read it. She loves it so far.

I have never read this author before. Was recommended to me by another lady in my Bible study group. The first 100 pages were excellent. But she rewrites the story line 4 times of when Angel runs away. The plot is good the first time around not the 4th time. Not at all a book I would ever recommend

There is no review that can do this book justice! Just get it, you won’t regret it!

The book is damaged it has dents and is almost ripping oof the cover. The sleeve is missing as well. The good thing is the missing cover makes the book look more vintage & it came marked with tabs from previous owner. But overall I’m happy with the purchase.

Too many repeated phrases.

I could not put this down! So well written and draws you in. I loved how she incorporated the storyline and the Bible references together. It was subtle but really profound and beautiful.

This book was recommended to me by my therapist when I was going through PTSD treatment and It is a story of someone that truly was treated horrible her entire life, and she was so used to it that when someone pure came and offered her a comfortable life with someone that truly will love her she couldn't understand why he would offer her such a thing, to which they both go through a lot together. I also enjoy that they bring to light how good god is and that everything happens for a reason. She learns how to love and to be loved and it truly helped me through a really hard time in my life and will forever be grateful for the part that this book had in my recovery.

This book is just perfection. It’s touching and sad and heartwarming and tragic and I was caught up in it from page 1.

AMAZING BOOK!! Literally had me in tears. It is a fiction book that illustrates God’s constant love and forgiveness in a beautiful way. I can not recommend it enough! Francine also writes the mark of the lion series which is incredible as well!! 10/10

It's so easy to get into this book. I finished it within 2days. It's a good story of hope.

Redeeming Love is so gripping, I couldn’t put it down! Francine Rivers is a talented author. She reals you in and keeps you there. Her power with words will astound you. Make sure you have time to read this book because you won’t want to put it down!

Being a child that was raped this book hit home. I know that I am not the only child damaged so young out there. But to know that God's love can help mend my broken heart. I say read this book with friends have your Bible handy, and a box of tissues . I toss this book a crossed the room more than one to pick it back up and wish I could wrap my arms around Sarah and Angel and Faith.

It was an amazing read. To take a book of Hosea from the Bible and truly bring to life. It helps remind people the emotions that sometimes we forget when reading the Bible. I recommend it to every Christian girl!

I first read this book many years ago, and have read it at least 3 more times since. It touches my heart every time. Highly recommend it! In fact, I would recommend any of Francine Rivers' books.

One of the best books ever written, in my opinion! Tells the story, allegorically, of God's never exhausted love for us, and how He accepts us and loves us as we are: dirty, sin sick, and hopeless. But He loves us too much to leave us like that! Redeeming love, indeed!!

This book will change your life for the better!! If you really want a book that makes you think,cry,laugh,and see both the best and worst in people and how they/you can deal with it this is the book ! What a beautiful example of true love!

I haven’t had a book this captivating since being a child reading Harry Potter 20 years ago. This book was a beautiful love story but yet relatable and inspiring. You must read this book!!!

As someone who loves a good story and loves to read, I have a hard time finding a book so good it is REALLY hard to put down- but this one had me from front to finish! I have a very slim category in my bookshelf of those I will keep and read again, and this one made it. I have become a Francine Rivers fan!

I'm not even exaggerating... I cried literal tears on several occasions. Amazing. You won't regret getting this book. Its that good.

Ok, I know you read the reviews, and it's always " oh this is a great book," or " you just have to read it," " its the best book in the whole wide world" and you think, "yep, heard that line said before..." well, I don't want you to think that I'm just writing this review and coming up with those lines. BUT I'm serious, this is the best book I have ever read. I have a read a ton of books in my day, and Francine Rivers is by far the best author I have come across. I also recommend the Mark of the Lion series by her. Those were excellent also. Francine Rivers has wonderfuly portrayed the book of Hosea through this story. It shows God's unconditional love for us, no matter what we've done in the past. He loves for who we are. Its wonderful, isn't it? I highly recommend these books and I hope all of you who read them enjoy them as much as I did.

I've read every book for Francine Rivers that I could get my hands on and this one is by far her best. A gripping story demonstrating God's love, I couldn't put down Redeeming Love once I started. I read until three in the morning. I laughed, I cried, I rediscovered precious truths that I had forgotten about God's love. I would recommend this book to any one. I was sorry when I read the last page. I wish I could have read more about Michael and Sarah's life.

The first day I bought this book, I sat on my desk and told myself I'd just read a chapter before I go to bed. That was 9pm. No matter how hard I tried, I could not put the book down. I found myself teary eyed, reading the ending, at 5am the next morning. Intending to read just the first few pages, I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting (with one bathroom break!).Everytime Angel would run away from Michael's love, I would say, "you stupid, ungrateful woman!" But as I was reading, God reminded me of all the times when I myself would backslide from my faith, thinking that I could make it on my own without Him - and of how unconditional His love is (like Michael's) when I come to my senses and ask for His forgiveness. After I finished the novel, I couldn't help but thank God for His forgiving, faithful, redeeming love.I definitely recommend this book. But don't read it like I did - Don't read it in one sitting until 5am when you need to be at work at 7am.!!

I just want to echo all the other reviews about this incredible book. I was totally captivated by this story and couldn't put it down. Sleep didn't seem near as important as finding out what was going on with Michael and Angel. I can get choked up when reading, but never before have I sobbed. Congratulations, Francine for being the first author to bring me to some serious tears. Even though I was emotionally exhausted at times....I didn't want the book to end. This book truly touched DEEP parts of my heart. I haven't been able to shake this lifechanging book. In fact, like many others, I went out to a local Christian Book Store and bought copies and started giving them away. I was loaned the book to read and immediately after finishing the book I went and bought it (for myself and others). I strongly suggest this book to any/everyone. Don't let this feminine looking cover fool you guys...it'll touch you too. If you want to read another one of her books that is also wonderful, try "The Atonement Child." [By the way, did anyone else notice the subtle Corinthians scriptures in the purple bands on the cover?] If you haven't read it yet.....What are you waiting for?

What a joy to be able to share my thoughts about this book with whomever may read this. This is the first book Francine Rivers wrote after coming into her relationship with Christ. Because of that, it has a rawness and a fresh fascination with the incredible love of God. The characters are real and believable, especially Angel, whose life experiences have left her bitter and angry, certain that there is no hope for redemption or love. The story that unfolds is so much more than the "sappy" romance-novel cover depicts (I wish the publisher would redesign it). Even for me, a Christian for 15 years, it was deeply moving and humbling to read of how unshakeable God's love is, and also His discipline. I have reccomended this book to so many people, all of whom have had similar responses to mine, and I would suggest it as a way to show God's amazing love to anyone you may know who doesn't know Him. Praise God for servants who are gifted in such unique ways as Mrs. Rivers - may she continue to glorify Him with her stories!
