Red Wine Goes with Murder

It's a great book that will hold you until the end of the book. The book has that warm southern feel to it, yet it will keep you on the edge to read more about the adventures of Hillary and Jane as they always seem to end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Overall, a great book worth reading on a long winter day.

This is the first of this series that I've read. It won't be the last. I truly enjoyed this cozy series. The two main characters are Hillary and Jane. Hillary is a Southern Belle who is rich. She is a decorator but cooks too. Jane is a single mom who can't cook or decorate but works for Hillary. They are fun together and get into all sorts of messes.In this book they go to the south of France so Hillary cn attend a prestigious cooking school. Hillary wants to rent a house that is expensive (even for her) so she gets other people from their Alabama town to go to France with her. Of course there are murders and Hillary and Jane are in the thick of things but end up solving the murders.I actually wondered about the people who ended up being involved. I didn't solve it exactly but was on the right track. I can't wait to read the other books in this series: Deathday Party and Leading an Elegant Death.

This is one of the more entertaining series' to come along. If you enjoy a great laugh; this is one series you should begin. (This is the third title in the series.) The author even throws in some great recipes. The characters are very lovable and you'll be caught up in their antics before you know it. Of the two main characters, Hillary is the Martha clone and Jane is hopelessly hampered in any area of domestic expertise. This book finds the criminal-catching duo in France at a cooking school and the race to discover the killler is delicious. Other books in the series are: Deathday Party and Leading an Elegant Death.
