Andrew is in his mid-twenties and has lived next door to Tommy since he was twelve. He and the kid are good friends and spend a lot of time together. Tommy is now seventeen and is interested in sex. He knows Andrew is gay and is very aggressive about it. They live in California where it's warm all the time and Tommy wears a pair of red shorts and nothing else almost all of the time.
