Like an onion!

After reading Bronze Horseman (my now all time best loved book) I decided to read other books by Simons. Even a week after finishing this book I am still thinking about it. Simons is a master of describing the settings for her books. Though the character development was slightly lacking, I found the twists and turns interesting. The cool thing about this book is that they mystery isn't the murder. You know it's going to happen. The mystery is in the details of the life of the main character. Each layer peels away like an onion as the story progresses making you doubt yourself and opening new possibilities for the conclusion of the book (one that you'll think you've guessed a few times throughout the book). There are still questions lingering at the end, but maybe that's a good thing. I enjoyed it thoroughly and even though one or two of the scenarios are not as credible or realistic as they could be, the story is put together like a jigsaw puzzle where pieces fall together to eventually make a full logical picture.
Excellent To The Core

If you've read Tully and like it,then you'll definitely cherish this lovely book by Paullina Simons. I like the way she gets her readers so emotionally involved with the characters. These youngsters in Red Leaves, Kristina, Constance, Albert and Jim felt like my family, or they could have been my children for that matter. I felt especially close to Kristina, the main character as I felt her pain and her cold lonliness. With a cleverly crafted detective storyline, it has the capacity to keep you up all night long until you've turned the last page. After you've turned that last page, you can't get those characters out of your head. If you haven't bought it yet........get it.......it's worth every penny. Thanks Ms Simons

I thought this was a very well written book. Her characters were eery but interesting, and I think as a writer Paullina Simons is brilliance untapped.

It was a believable story that could have happened on any college campus. There was a driving force to finish this book, so you would know the truth-eventually! The characters were real and exciting. You really wanted to know them. Krissy was someone-you hated at one time, and loved the next. I could not stop reading it! I had to know what was going to happen next! Now, I just want to read more books by Simons. She is great! This book would make a great movie.
Fantastic! Paullina Simons touches everyone with her books.

I loved: "Tully". Red Leaves is an unbelievably great book. Ms. Simon's characters are taken from life. This particular novel is set at college, about four friends and the choices they make. The novel is shocking, sad and achingly funny. Headlines ripped from today's real world.
