Amish Fiction with a Twist!

When I think of an Amish novel being written, I think of a female author writing them. But that's not the case with this amazing story. It is written by a male author with a fabulous knack for writing Amish stories. The first in a trilogy, Rebecca's Promise is full of page turning, riveting scenes. I found myself completely captured by the Amish characters. They quickly became a part of me, which is what I love to have happen when I read a great Amish novel! It's plot is twisty;full of secrets, promises, confusion and inspiration. One that I didn't want to end, but knew it had to and can't wait for part 2 to Rebecca's riveting, hopeful story! I give this 5 stars (more if I could!), two thumbs up and definite recommendation to all! *This book was provided for review courtesy of Harvest House Publishers*

Christian Amish Fiction

Great book! All these books in the series are wonderful! Would recommend to anyone wanting to read Christian Amish books.

Rebecca's Promise

I loved the book. As with the previous book, the writer makes you feel as if you are really there experiencing all that is written. Can't wait for the third book.

"Has Legitimacy"

Rebecca has promised to marry John but the vague memory of a ring and promise disturb her. She isn't sure if it is a real memory. Rebecca returns to Milroy and searches for answers. The characters in this book are flawed which makes them real to life. I enjoyed Rebecca's Promise even though it was not a typical Amish romance. The plot is very good. The characters are well developed. However, nothing seemed Amish. The language, the morals did not fit the genre. Having said that: this is a good book. This is the first book in a new series.

Great Story

If you are a fan of Amish romance novels, you will certainly enjoy this new series by Jerry Eicher. He does a wonderful job creating a love story and weaving faith in God throughout the book. The characters are well developed and friendly and the plot kept me interested throughout. I'm moving on to the second book in the series!
