More than okay!

This book kept me guessing until the end. In fact I smugly thought I had it figured out until the last chapter. Loved the intrigue, the sweet romance, and the painless history lesson!

A Must Read for Mystery/History Buffs!

Rosey Dow has successfully blended historical fact with a mystery that reads like part of the Scopes trial in "Reaping the Whirlwind". The who-dunnit portion of Ms. Dow's latest effort is so well done, I defy anyone to guess the criminal's identity. Her accurate, painstaking research is clearly reflected in the clear and informative presentation of the Scopes "monkey" trial details. For entertainment, this is tops. For historical accuracy, it can't be bettered. I would recommend this for anyone who has an interest in mysteries or historical fiction. But be warned...don't start reading until you have time to finish...you won't want to put it down!

Reaping The Whirlwind

An exciting and gripping who-done-it Reaping the Whirlwind is a must read. Rosey Dow combines a flair for murder mystery with exhaustive research into the Scopes Monley trial. The facts of the case are presented as a backdrop for a murder mystery, which is itself an expression of the affect Dawrinist thought has had on shaping our society. Entertaing and informational, reaping the Whirlwind is sure to provoke critical thinking and provide ample topics of conversation. I highly recommend it.

Absorbing Mystery, Lively History Lesson

I thoroughly enjoyed the murder puzzle in REAPING THE WHIRLWIND, but this was more than simply a cozy historical mystery. While investigating a series of strange deaths in his small Tennessee town, the main character, a lawman, also finds himself involved in the infamous, turbulent 1925 Scopes "Monkey" trials. Author Rosey Dow does three important things in her book: tells a compelling mystery story, accurately depicts the events of the Scopes trial (dispelling much misinformation)and asks the question, "What difference does it make what we believe?" The question and its answer are intertwined with the solution to the mystery. I highly recommend this book.
