Great Storyteller

The thing I love about this book and all of Cheryl Wyatt's books is the story she tells. That may not make sense because aren't all fiction books about story? Well, they are, but sometimes an author comes along with a very special gift. Wyatt draws me in hard, and holds me right to the end, with her fast paced writing and wonderful love story. I'd looking forward to more Wings of Refuge...or whatever else Cheryl Wyatt wants to write.

An enjoyable Read

Cheryl Wyatt pulls her readers in right away by starting the story at a high-intensity moment - with Ben coming to Reece and Amelia's rescue after Amelia faints while operating a vehicle. She establishes Ben's character through his quick action and dialogue with little Reece, who is worried about her mother. She even establishes Amelia's character, filtered through the eyes of her young daughter, Reece. I thought this was a very creative way to introduce us to Amelia. The characters are realistic and three-dimensional and the pacing is quick. Readers of romance will enjoy the journey between Ben and Amelia.

Heartwarming Story

After reading the first two books in this Wings of Refuge series I couldn't wait to delve into Ready-Made Family. I read it the same evening I got it in the mail. Ben-li Dillinger is loading his purchases when he hears a young girl shouting for help for her mother. Spotting the car smashed into a light pole Ben rushes to help. This story deals with a lot of emotional issues. Ben's brother has Downs Syndrome and while Ben is a Christian he is not perfect. Amelia is trying to get to a new job to get away from an abusive past, prejudiced parents, and a town that has mainly ostracised her. There's even more things that Ben and Amelia have to deal with along their road to finding each other and Amelia's path to faith. Loved this book and can't wait to read the next one in this series coming out in June. Highly Recommended!!

Fast and heart-warming

Cheryl Wyatt writes fast paced, fun novels that are a treat to read, and Ready-Made Family is no exception. Although this is book three in a series, it's not necessary to read the first and second books--it easily stands alone (but you'll want to read them!). Ready-Made Family starts with a bang and keeps running. Woven into the story is Amelia's journey back to her faith, and it encourages us to trust and believe. All the characters in this book sparkle--even those that seem to play minor roles, and are very engaging. It's a heart-warming read.

Ready-Made Family by Cheryl Wyatt

Ready-Made Family is the third book in the Wings of Refuge series about a community called Refuge located in Illinois. I had already read A Soldier's Promise and A Soldier's Family and liked both of them. This third book about a young woman and her daughter needing love and a sense of belonging and the parachute jumper who comes to her rescue are well-worth your time. I closed the book with a renewed sense of wanting to help those who cross my path in life.
